The Student Visa (SC 500) is for Applicants who wish to attend a course of study in Australia. They can be either Onshore or Offshore when they apply for this Temporary Visa.
To be eligible to apply for the Student Visa, the Applicant must meet certain criteria, including being enrolled in an approved course of study, meeting the English Language requirement, proving that they are a Genuine Temporary Entrant, meeting the Character Requirement, and more.

The Graduate Visa (SC 485) is for international Students who wish to live, study and work in Australia after they have completed their Australian studies. They can be either Onshore or Offshore when they apply for this Temporary Visa.
To be eligible to apply for the Graduate Visa, the Applicant must meet certain criteria, including being under 50 years old, meeting the Australian Study Requirement, meeting the English Language requirement, and more.

The Child Visa is for Applicants who wish to live in Australia (and who are dependent on an Eligible Parent). They can be Onshore (SC 802) or Offshore (SC 101) when they apply for this Permanent Visa.
To be eligible to apply for the Child Visa, the Applicant must meet certain criteria, including being under 18 years old (in most cases), be dependent on their Parent, and more. The Parent must be an Australian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or an eligible New Zealand Citizen.

The Carer Visa is for Applicants who wish to care for a Relative with a long-term medical condition who has no reasonable access to care options in Australia. They can be Onshore (SC 836) or Offshore (SC 116) when they apply for this Permanent Visa.
To be eligible to apply for the Carer Visa, the Applicant must meet certain complex criteria. The Relative must Sponsor them and they must be an Australian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or an eligible New Zealand Citizen.

The Remaining Relative Visa is for Applicants who wish to live in Australia with their only remaining close family members. They can be Onshore (SC 835) or Offshore (SC 115) when they apply for this Permanent Visa.
To be eligible to apply for the Remaining Relative Visa, the Applicant must be Sponsored by an eligible Australian Parent or Sibling, in addition to other certain complex criteria.

The Visitor Visa (SC 600) or E.T.A. (SC 601) is for Applicants who wish to temporarily visit Australia as a tourist. They can be either Onshore or Offshore when they apply for the SC 600; and Offshore when they apply for the SC 601.
To be eligible to apply for the Visitor Visa, the Applicant may need to meet certain criteria, such as proving that they are a Genuine Temporary Entrant and that they have enough money for their stay in Australia (in some cases), and meeting the Character Requirement.

The Temporary Activity Visa (SC 408) is for Applicants who wish to visit Australia to undertake specific types of work on a short-term basis. They can be either Onshore or Offshore when they apply for this Temporary Visa.

The Protection Visa (SC 866) is for Applicants who arrived in Australia on a valid visa and want to seek asylum. They must be Onshore when they apply for this Permanent Visa.
